CA-86 turns into CA-78 East which you take for 40 miles to S-34. Go south 11 miles to Indian Pass Rd. At this point the directions are different from last year. At Indian Pass Rd (Landmark: Stop Sign) turn LEFT (east) and go 4 miles to the Rainbow sign. Tuesday March 21st and Wednesday March 22nd --- CLEAN UP. If you come to seed camp or clean up, please be self-sufficient. Please do not come before March 15th. BRING YOUR MAGIC!! WE LOVE YOU!! The Rainbow Family is a tribe of volunteers. All the work in making this Gathering happen and the clean-up afterward is shared by every one of us. Many folks operate support activities to experience the joy of serving others: kitchens, Kiddie Village, healing workshops, water, sanitation, parking, welcome center, firewatch and more. COME PLUG IN this is _your_ Gathering. Participation is the key to a good time. We encourage: love, light, sharing, good vibes, common sense and the appropriate use of all healthful herbs and gifts from the Mother. We discourage: rip-offs, buying, selling, alcohol, drugs, radios, tape players and other pollutants. Please leave your pets at home! They are disruptive to the Gathering and harmful to the wildlife. Bring a WOW! Offer workshops, create theater, use our bulletin boards, come and share your talents. Bring lots of color! Rainbow Gatherings are absolutely free and non-commercial. We provide for ourselves by sharing what we have and contributing to the Magic Hat. Suggested items to bring: Personal: individual bowls, utensils, cups and personal water containers are essential for safe hygiene. BRING AT LEAST ONE GALLON OF WATER PER PERSON PER DAY---THIS IS THE DESERT!!! Prepare for hot days and cold nights. Bring warm clothing for night and shade (hats, sunscreen) for the day. Bring good footwear, flashlight, tent, sleeping bags, biodegradable soap and a donation for the MAGIC HAT. Bring lots of musical instruments for homemade music. Tools and Materials: Bring shovels, axes, saws---LOTS OF FIREWOOD---5 gallon buckets. Kitchen Supplies: large spoons, knives, veggie peelers, big cooking pots, chopping boards, scrubbers and biodegradable soap. Sanitation: toilet paper, bleach, lime, and 2 lb coffee cans (to hold ashes) for the latrines. C.A.L.M.: first aid supplies, aloe vera, all healing herbs, bleach, hydrogen peroxide, sunscreen. Food: We need food if we want to eat it! Bring beans, potatoes, rice, oil, salt, pepper, garlic, onion, spices, oatmeal, fresh or dried fruit and veggies, bread, pasta, dried milk, juices, nutbutters, and just about anything good to eat (no meat please). We never seem to have enough: teas and coffee, vegetable oil or popcorn. And of couse zu-zus. no alcohol no guns leave pets at home Brothers and Sisters let us join each other in celebration of Life!
