Holy Lice Eradication

The Bible says we should "anoint thy head with oil." I'd like to suggest that this may have been in reference to the then current epidemic of head lice.

Instructions: Cover your entire scalp with warm mineral oil and leave it on for 15-20 minutes to suffocate all lice. Was hair with any good shampoo and comb out dead hitchhikers with a fine tooth comb. Repeat this whole procedure as the remaining eggs hatch at 3, 7, and 10 days.

Better this than nerve toxins and it's cheaper too. Who will be the first to try the Biblical prescription?

P.S. The following Homeopathic remedies, taken internally (orally) are said to help one's vital force correct the environmental imbalances that allow such parasites to colonize in the first place: Apis, Arsenicum, Bellis-Perenis, Carbolicum-Acidum, Graphites, Lachesis, Lycopodium, Mercurius, Nitricum-Acidum, Psorinum, Staphisagria, Sulphur and Tuberculinum. Choose among these according to standard Homeopathic repertorizing (i.e. choose Mercurius if the `patient' has swollen glands, joint pains, hair that falls out with brushing, really odoriferous breath and offensive sweat. Choose Staphysagria if the person feels victimized, is prone to violently passionate outbursts, is very sensitive to what others say about him(her), is a heavy tobacco smoker and may have either constipation or black and crumbling teeth).

Another experiment worth trying: Wet your hair thoroughly with white vinegar and wrap your head in a vinegar-soaked towel. Cover this with a dry towel. The vinegar is said to cause the eggs to detach while you sleep so that they can "easily be shampooed away the next morning."

Please, my brothers and sisters, if any of you try any of these, please let me and the healers at C.A.L.M. (the Medicine Circle) know so we can better help all our family.

And please, if you personally believe in the care and feeding of your hitchhiking organisms, please do not hug me or come into my tent or my vehicle or kitchen or camp, et cetera.
